Our History

The Prom Shop Project™ was founded during the Spring of 2001 by Kim Peters.

New to Dallas, Ms. Peters wanted to make a positive impact on the young people in her new community by volunteering her time to a worthwhile cause.

After much consideration, she decided to give back in the way she knew best – with her flair for style and shopping! Kim felt that her endeavor would need to have a positive impact on young women and girls, not to mention contribute to their educational and emotional growth.

And so . . . Voilá! The birth of the “Prom Shop Project!™
